Section 4 – GOATS

Identification

All goats must be individually identified with plastic ear tags issued on accordance with the requirements of the National Goat Identification System (NGIS).

Movement Documentation

All consignments of goats being moved must be accompanied by the completed dispatch document. Goats from non-restricted herds only can be moved to Shows.

Flock Register

All movements of goats to and from shows must be recorded in the keepers goat herd register.

CLASS 199-Female Goat, any age, any breed having produced a Kid in 2010.
Entry fee, €4. Prizes: 1st Trophy & €35; 2nd €20; 3rd €15

CLASS 200-Female kid, over 2 months and not exceeding one year at day of judging. Open to any breed.
Entry fee, €3 Prizes: 1st €30 2nd €15; 3rd €10

CLASS 201 – Young Male Goat, born after 1st January 2010. Open to any breed.
Entry fee,€3 Prizes: 1st €30, 2nd €15, 3rd €10
