ICA Guild “Skills of the Year” Competition

Theme: “Seasons of the Year”
This year we invite you to Present a
“A Feast or a Festival that occurs during your chosen Season”

1. Folklore. Research and present the story of a Feast or Festival that occurs during your chosen Season.
2. Craft. Design and make any three craft items (to include a card) for your Feast or festival.
3. Floral. Display a homemade floral arrangement suitable for celebration of the Feast or Festival.
4. Cookery. Make and decorate a cake for your chosen Feast or Festival.
5. Display. Each Team will have an area 4ft x 2ft to co-ordinate their display.

No additional accessories to be used only those items made for competition.

All entry forms to be signed by Guild Secretary as being the work of the guild.
Prizes: 1st, €200; 2nd, €100; 3rd, €70; 4th, €50; 5th, €40; 6th, €40.
Awards will be presented for the winning item in each individual section,independent of overall result.
Closing Date: Aug 1st
Competition to be held at Virginia Show on Wednesday 20th August 2008
