The Oldcastle All Ireland Amateur Painting Competition

Rules & Conditions

Paintings must be the sole work of the exhibitor who must have amateur status.
Paintings to depict an Agricultural or Rural setting.
Paintings must measure no more than 26”x20” not including the frame
All Paintingsmust be ready to hang, that is framed and with a hanging cord attached
The judges decision is final
All entries to be exhibited at owners risk
All entries to have amateur status as defined by the following.
Not to have had a commercial solo exhibition solo exhibition
Not to have exhibited in a commercial gallery
Not to be teaching or have taught art in any form
These rules should be read in conjunction with the Irish Shows Association Rules

Entry Fee: To Qualifying Show €3. To final €6

PRIZES: 1st €300 2nd :€200 3rd €100 5th: €50

FINAL OLDCASTLE SHOW – Sunday 26th September 2010

Prizes are: 1st €15; 2nd €10; 3rd €5.

CLASS 399-Painting - The Irish Landscape.
CLASS 400-Painting - Still Life
CLASS 401-Painting by a Person between 14-18 years.
CLASS 402-Drawing (Any theme) - to be done in black and white using pen, pencil or charcoal only.
CLASS 403-A Portrait (Open).
CLASS 404-Painting in any medium Landscape Confined to ICA members
CLASS 405-Painting in any medium Still Life Confined to ICA members
